Concert of Dunja Ivanova at Vrbjanska Chuka
Macedonian pianist Dunja Ivanova will have a concert at Vrbjanska Chuka in Pelagonia on August, 25th, 2019
at 6.30 p.m. She will play works by Steve Reich, Philip Glass, Ludovico Einaudi and Yann Tiersen. This event
is an unusual opportunity to listen to music by contemporary classic composers played inside an
archaeological trench. For the first time (pre)historic mysteries will be intertwined with repetitive
rhythms and minimalistic essential piano melodies.
The site sits about 1 km south of the village of Slavej (on the road from Prilep to Krushevo). It can be
reached by car, bike, by foot or by a paraglider. The road from Slavej to Borotino passes nearby the site.
This event, as well as the research of Vrbjanska Chuka, is organized by the Center for Prehistoric Research,
the Forum for Avant-garde Creativity, Marko Cepenkov Cultural Center, the Institute for Old Slavic Culture
and the Institute and Museum Prilep
